Seven years ago, Kaiyi Auto, like a seed, took root in the fertile soil of Yibin City under the joint cultivation of Chery Group and Yibin City. Today, seven years later, this seed has grown and flourished. Mar. 30, 2024, the signing ceremony of the deepening cooperation agreement between Yibin City and Chery Holding Group Co., Ltd. was held in Chengdu, and as an important platform for the cooperation between the two sides, Kaiyi Auto will usher in new opportunities for development in a number of key areas.

Looking back, in Apr. 2017, Kaiyi Auto settled in Yibin City, a move that not only set a precedent for the relocation and construction of vehicle enterprises, but also injected new vitality into the development of Yibin's automotive industry. Over the past seven years, under the careful care and strong support of Yibin City, Kaiyi Auto has realized the leap development from small to large. Nowadays, Kaiyi Auto has become the first enterprise in Sichuan Province with full qualifications of fuel and new energy for sedan, SUV and MPV. It is also the only state-owned auto enterprise with dual qualifications in Sichuan Province, showing strong market competitiveness and broad development prospect.

The rejoining of Yibin City and Chery Group is undoubtedly an important milestone for Kaiyi Auto. Yin Tongyue, Party Secretary and Chairman of Chery Holding Group, said at the signing ceremony that Yibin City will become an important production and export base for Chery Auto in Southwest China, while Kaiyi Auto will serve as a bridge between the two sides, and will be fully empowered by the Chery Group in many areas such as research and development.
